At our meeting last week, we discussed the following:
- We introduced ourselves and told our purpose for joining the club. Most of us joined for weight loss, but others of us have a family history with issues that we'd like avoid.
- We set goals! We set a club goal to run/walk in the Annual Gene Daniels 5K this March. Individuals are setting goals for the first 12 weeks in January. We decided we want to earn our wellness tokens and goal-setting is the only way to keep track of it.
- We want apps! There are many apps available on your smartphone for keeping track of food/calories, how many steps you take in a day, and more. A few apps mentioned were MyFitnessPal and LoseIt. If you have another app worth mentioning, please respond in the comments section.
- We want to talk and celebrate! We will be posting our successes (small, medium, and large) on this blog to celebrate with each other when we meet our goals.
- January 2nd is planning day and January 5th is START day! Please join me at 9:00 AM on January 2nd in our NEW FITNESS Room at school. We'll plan our meals and workouts and get ourselves started on the right foot.
